Neigh!

This will be the last look at Oklahoma City. This colorful horsey welcomed visitors to one of Bricktown's many souvenir shops. I like the patchwork of pictures - it's certainly something different!

Unfortunately, I'm finding inspiration in Jackson hard to come by these days. Between the theater and golf, I don't have a lot of time for "looking" for photos and I sort of feel like I've tapped the most interesting things in Jackson. Any advice for a burned out blogger would be appreciated.

Eternal Roller

There was no plaque for this statue, but I can only assume it is a rendition of the Greek mythological character Sisysphus. He was condemed to roll a boulder uphill, only to have it roll back down again for all eternity. I'm not sure if his story has any correlation to Oklahoma City, or if that it is even a positive thing. But it is a nice statue.

Bricktown Canal

This is Oklahoma City's version of the River Walk in San Antonio - the Bricktown Canal. It opened around seven years ago and has become a popular downtown attraction. You can walk it or hop on one of the water taxis for a guided tour. Although it's quite artificial, I still think it's nice.

October Theme Day: Lines

Here's a look at some lines in Bricktown in downtown OKC. It's a lovely part of town that has undergone a lot of renovation in the past ten years. There are lots of nice restaurants, bars and shops that have cropped up in the old brick buildings. It's a great place to spend an afternoon - or evening!

Inside the Crystal Bridge

The Crystal Bridge is host to tropical plants and flowers from all over the world. It's really a magical place and one of the highlights of downtown Oklahoma City.

There are so many beautiful flowers, it's hard to choose just one, so here's a collage of the highlights!

Greetings from Oklahoma City!

I spent the weekend with my family in Oklahoma City. On Saturday, I took my husband downtown to show him some of the highlights. Although he's been to OKC several times, we've never really had time to explore.

This is the Crystal Bridge which is the centerpiece of the Myriad Gardens. Inside it's basically a greenhouse filled with tropical plants and flowers. I will feature photos from Oklahoma City all week.
