Halloween Reflections

You can see the reflection of my little jack o'lantern in the granite countertop. I miss Halloween already, well the candy at least!

Blue Skies and Grant

General Grant looks great under a blue sky! This is a monument to him inside the Vicksburg National Military Park in Vicksburg. It's a great place to visit, if you're ever in the area.

Floor Decoration

This is our last look at the Amtrak station for awhile. I think this floor mosaic is original from the old train station that was once here. It's sort of retro-cool in any case!

Amtrak Doorway

This door will take you into the ticketing office.

Waiting

Traveling always involves some degree of waiting. It looks like these folks are waiting for someone to pick them up from the Amtrak station. I hope it doesn't take too long!

November Theme Day: Public Transportation

I have shown you Jackson's bus service, the JaTran, before. Now here's a look at the only other form of public transportation that passes through my city, the Amtrak train. You can take it to Memphis or New Orleans. I have taken it myself once and it was a comfortable ride. I'll show you more of the station itself later this week.

To see how other bloggers have interpreted today's theme, please take a look at the CDP November theme day page. I also have some bonus public transportation shots on my travel blog, enjoy!

Flower by the Bridge

A solitary flower grows by the bridge over the lovely hole. I've shown you this bridge before here. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween!
